Here is a prototype coin from Starcade (the 'shared universe' project by Alex Strang). This shows the icon for the TGC (Trans-Galactic Coalition)

The TGC is the galaxy-wide system that connects all advanced civilisations in one network (think Social Media to the Nth Level)

The icon represents the galaxy (upper crescent), a civilised world (the small sphere), and 3 connecting lines to indicate the three Feeders on the world that are used to connect w/ the TGC system.
