Thanks to the gang at Redcap's Corner (Philadelphia's best game store!) for the recent playtest of Cybergecko's new tile-laying game Adventure Lands, currently in development.

This was part of the weekly gaming event through Philadelphia Game Experiment. (if you are in the Philadelphia area, please join!)

A lot of great feedback from this test. This game represents an unusual challenge as I've been trying to create a relaxing role-playing-like adventure experience, where players lightly influence the actions on the board, and watch as a story unfolds. I've been trying to blend a little discovery with light strategy, with a game that is easy to enter (no learning curve) and that evolves as it plays.

We discussed interesting ways to bring up the story elements to be more prominent, involve the items more, and create story hooks that help create more of a narrative. I'm very excited to see how this project unfolds!
